Lippmann + Rau Foundation, Eisenach, Germany

With the 60th anniversary of the very first American Folk Blues Festival in the fall of 2022 you might be interested in the Lippmann + Rau Foundation, based in Eisenach, Germany.

The foundation was set-up in memory of the promoter-duo Horst Lippmann and Fritz Rau in order to persevere their cultural legacy as the pioneers of laying down the foundation for the post-war concerts and events in Europe as we know it today.

The Lippmann+Rau Foundation also hosts an archive with several business documents and posters from the operating period of the concert agency Lippmann and Rau as well as several estates and collections of renowned artists.
