Acknowledgments

Firstly, now that we have a new re-formatted ‘History’ section with much more material, particularly on the History of British Blues, I would like to acknowledge the UKBlues Federation for appointing Earlyblues.org as the custodian of their archive material.

The UKBlues Federation

We believe that Blues music in the United Kingdom (UK) needs to be better represented and coordinated in order to achieve the respect and prosperity that it deserves. Consequently, UKBlues has established a pan-UK Federation to promote and support Blues in and from the UK in all its forms and styles.

It is our aim to achieve the maximum recognition for UK Blues music, past, present and future and thereby to boost the profile and prosperity of all involved with the genre in the UK, bringing those involved together to achieve this vision.

Join the UKBlues Federation

By joining the UKBlues Federation you are supporting a not for profit organisation, run by a team of volunteers, that helps to give a voice to the Blues and whose mission is to promote Blues music in all its styles and forms in the UK.

Secondly, I would like to introduce to you and acknowledge invaluable contributions from:

The British Blues Archive

The British Blues Archive (BBA) was set up by Peter Harvie and Stevie King in 2011 and was the only archive at that time which concentrated on British Blues.  The goal of the archive was to document the history, musicians, venues and the instruments that make up British Blues. The British Blues Archive was amalgamated with the UKBlues Federation in 2016.

Tales From The Woods roots music networking group and Magazine, established by Keith Woods

The Tales From The Woods magazine has been running for over seventeen years. Originally produced as a one page newsletter for occasional London based gigs and roots music record hops it grew rapidly and has now developed into a 60 page on-line by-monthly magazine. The Tales From The Woods roots music networking group as an organisation has helped to bring roots music back to a central London stage and they look forward to many more years with the help of roots music fans old and new to keep on keeping on.

Finally, a special thanks to my wife Christine for her patience when I’m pounding away at the PC, her help in transcribing the many interviews, and her invaluable support in all the various Earlyblues initiatives.
