The UKBlues Federation created a new initiative in 2019 called UK Blues Fuse where the aim is to raise the profile of emerging & established, but ‘under the radar’ bands/artists and provide them with opportunities to perform in out of area clubs, venues and festivals. With the support of the UKBlues Federation as a platform and mentor, it is hoped it will provide a rung on the all too difficult ladder.
The inaugural UK Blues Fuse show took place at The Big House Blues Bar in Darwen, Lancashire, on Friday 29th November 2019. A second show was planned to be held at Blues at The Woodlands, Gillingham, Kent on 6th June 2020 with further plans to rollout the venture to other areas of the UK. The pandemic however caused the closure of all live music events and hence the stalling of the rollout.
